Frequently asked questions
Does this send my data to an external AI like OpenAI or Claude?
No. Checklist extraction is deterministic pattern matching against a curated EDI terminology dictionary — zero external API calls. The separate EDI Analyzer feature can optionally use an AI provider for explanations, but it runs entirely server-side with your own configuration, and the product works end-to-end without it.
Does voice dictation send my voice to a server?
Dictation uses your browser's own built-in speech recognition. In Chrome/Edge that's processed by the browser vendor's cloud speech service, not by EDIAGENTAI — only the resulting text reaches your account, never raw audio.
What happens to information the checklist can't recognize?
Nothing is guessed. Unrecognized text is simply not extracted — you fill in the rest manually, and every extracted value shows exactly which input it came from.
Which EDI standards are supported?
EDIFACT and X12 are parsed and validated natively by the EDI Analyzer. XML, JSON and CSV are accepted and classified as structured data rather than misrepresented as EDI.
Is my data stored securely?
Uploaded files and project data are stored in private, per-organization storage with signed URLs. Row Level Security isolates every organization's data at the database level.
